Three months after arriving in Colombia, we finally finished editing a short Central America video. We shot a lot of GoPro footage and it took several days just to parse the good shots out. Even after I had done that, I still had a lot of disparate shots and I struggled to string a narrative through them. There were many stories that I wanted to tell, specific shots that we had taken that I really wanted to use, but that ultimately didn't fit. After I took a break for a few weeks and looked at the clips again, I could finally make the difficult decision to cut almost everything out.

Diana wrote a poem about our month and a half in the region, and ultimately that brought the video together.
